Salobreña

Salobreña is located in the heart of the Costa Tropical at an equal distance from Málaga and Almería. This holiday destination is an outstanding example of a typical Andalusian town, unique in its history and located in beautiful surroundings, capturing the very essence of Andalusia and Granada.

The landscape is made up of agricultural valleys and rugged mountains, descending abruptly to the sea, creating attractive cliffs dotted with small residential areas which face towards “Mare Nostrum”. Lush, verdant valleys of plantations and subtropical fruit trees, unique in Europe, such as the mango, banana, papaya, custard-apple, avocado, guava and sugar cane, are scattered with cortijos, rural roads, pathways and tracks which appeal to outdoor sports enthusiasts.

The striking architecture of the historical old town is an impressive sight.  Whitewashed houses cling to the rock which is dominated by an Arab castle, 110 metres (360.89 feet) above sea level. Narrow, winding streets, viewpoints, gardens, museums and historical monuments are a delight to stroll.

Paragliding and hang gliding, multi-activity and adventure holidays, scuba diving, golf, horse riding, water sports, hiking and tennis are just some of the sport activities available on the Costa Tropical.
