Palido Rum piononos are the result of a perfect fusion between a traditional dessert from Granada and the gastronomic innovation by including new ingredients to the original recipe. A bite that will connect you to the essence of sugar cane: the distinguishing mark of Motril.
This exquisite product is made of a sponge cake and Palido Rum cream. Everything is soaked in this rum reduction and ended up with a caramelised cream.
Luis Palomares (Patisserie Casa Palomares) comes from a pastry chef’s family. He really wanted to innovate and, without forgetting the typical local products, he created the Pálido Rum piononos which are unique in our area. Irresistible bites to give as a present together with a small hip flask filled with Pálido Rum.
It was during the celebration of some Pálido Rum conferences in a local restaurant when the pastry chef had the idea to include alcohol in the original recipe. During months, it was an arduous work, but finally, thanks to the Palomares family’s hope and skill, it became a great success.
