Quisquilla from Motril (Shrimp)

It can grow up to 17 cm (6 in). They occur on sandy and rocky bottoms at depths of 650 m (2132ft). It can be found in the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic.
Due to its presence on rocky bottoms along the coast, it is used as a preserve for trawl fishing and therefore, this species are caught by fish traps, especially in the fishing grounds of Motril.
This species spawn a huge number of blue eggs that are distributed throughout the Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea.
